Projects

A selection of things that made it to production.

Sortly, Inventory SaaS

Infrastructure Build and CI/CD Modernization

Context

Sortly needed production and development infrastructure built from scratch, and their existing Bitbucket Pipelines setup was limiting visibility and integration.

Approach

Provisioned full production and development infrastructure using Terraform on AWS ECS Fargate. Migrated all CI/CD from Bitbucket Pipelines to GitHub Actions. Set up self-hosted ephemeral runners on AWS: spin up on trigger, terminate on completion.

Outcome

Near-zero idle runner cost through automated lifecycle management with Terraform and AWS Lambda. Repeatable infrastructure, improved pipeline visibility, and better security isolation.

Curately, AI Recruitment Platform

EC2 to EKS Migration and DevOps Modernization

Context

Curately was running on standalone EC2 instances with limited scalability and manual deployment processes.

Approach

Migrated the full application from EC2 to Amazon EKS. Built end-to-end CI/CD with GitHub Actions and environment promotion gates (dev, staging, production). Set up monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki. Added Claude AI-powered code review on GitHub PRs.

Outcome

Scalable container orchestration replaced brittle EC2 deployments. Automated code review reduced manual review time and improved code quality standards across the engineering team.

Daloopa, FinTech Data Platform

Multi-Account EKS Architecture

Context

Daloopa needed strict environment isolation between production, staging, and development for their financial data platform.

Approach

Multi-account AWS architecture with separate EKS clusters per account. Kubernetes namespaces, RBAC, and network policies for environment-level security. End-to-end CI/CD with environment-specific deployment workflows.

Outcome

Full environment isolation with centralized logging and monitoring across accounts using Datadog and CloudWatch for unified observability. Controlled, auditable release process across all environments.

Healthcare Rewards Platform with Real-Time Analytics

Context

A healthcare rewards application needed automated transactional and promotional communications with real-time analytics on engagement.

Approach

Amazon Pinpoint for automated email and SMS. Kinesis Data Streams for real-time event processing, piped into QuickSight for BI dashboards. Supporting infrastructure in Terraform across multiple environments.

Outcome

Automated patient engagement communications. Real-time event processing and BI dashboards gave the product team visibility into communication effectiveness for the first time.

Active Directory to Azure AD Migration

Context

An enterprise client needed to migrate their user base from on-premises Microsoft Active Directory to Azure Active Directory without disrupting daily operations.

Approach

Phased cutover from Microsoft AD to Azure AD. SSO, group policies, and access controls preserved throughout. Coordinated across teams.

Outcome

Zero downtime during the full migration. All users transitioned with SSO and access controls preserved. No disruption to daily operations.
